8 Sessions Again with Aqualogic

Bela already finished 13 sessions of swimming lessons from Aqualogic Swim Company last week and yesterday, I enrolled her again for another 8 sessions (she will be on break on December as I know it is a very busy month for us).

Bela really improve a lot from her swimming days with Bert Lozada to when we move her with Teacher Ria of Aqualogic. Yesterday, they were already teaching her how to do the back stroke and I was really amazed at how Bela can follow their instructions well.

Hubby was so happy and proud too of her little princess and he was even the one who keep on insisting that Bela should be enrolled with Aqualogic’s Swimming Class all year long so she won’t loose her momentum if she will take a break.

I did not even think twice too in enrolling her again for another 8 sessions as I know Bela is really enjoying her swimming class so much that even though she is tired and sleepy already after attending her ballet class in the morning, she will still have energy left for her swimming class in the afternoon.

So as parents, we are just here to support and encourage Bela and help her find her true passion.

Bela Ballerina

She just loves to dance. That is why when I read in one of the circulars from her school that they have a ballet club, I immediately asked Bela if she wants to join and she eagerly said yes.

The ballet class for prep is scheduled every Saturday at 9 am so this means we have to be up by 7:30 AM (8 AM the latest) so she won’t be late for class. Her normal wake up time is 9 or 10 AM so 7:30 is too early for her. But every Saturday, I don’t have a hard time waking her up as she jumps out of bed immediately as soon as she hears the word ballet. That is how dedicated she is with ballet.

I was the one who brought Bela to her class last Saturday and I was able to stay for a few minutes in class and was able to take some pictures. Here are some of them: (Pardon the [pictures as I only use my phone’s camera. We don’t bring camera during her ballet class as they are really strict and will not let parents linger while the class is on-going. I was just pasaway that day and took pictures while no one is asking me go out yet. LOL)

Bela, Our Future Swimmer

Bela has been enrolled in the Aqua Kids program of Aqualogic since summer. We noticed that she really enjoys the class (except for the one time when she had a one-on-one session with Teacher Ria. But now she is already so used to Teacher Ria that she doesn’t get scared anymore and she now knows that she has to follow what Teacher Ria asks her to do. LOL). That is why after the summer program, we decided to enroll her again for 12 more sessions as we see a great potential in her to be a good swimmer as she is just so comfortable when she is in the water.

During the summer class, they tried to teach Bela how to float from her back but she is having a hard time doing it as she feels ticklish in her ear. But just look at her now, a really big improvement:

She knows how to do a back float and last week, they already started to teach her how to use her hands (using the angel-fairy-princess technique) so she can start to learn how to do the back stroke.

I am really happy with how Bela improved and because of that we will enroll her again for another 12 sessions come October.

Final Activities for Bela this Summer

It will be a busy summer for Bela. Actually we decided to fill her schedule with a lot of activities since we are trying to divert her hyper activeness with worthwhile activities. And we also noticed that after class, since she is tired already (LOL), she takes a nap in the afternoon. Not like when she has no class and she is just at home, she won’t stop playing or watching TV all day that she doesn’t get to take her nap in the afternoon.

So after deliberating with the lolo and the lola (who will take Bela to class during weekdays) and after discussing it with hubby, we finally decided to enroll Bela to the following classes:

1. Magic Strokes and Reading class at MSS which will run for a month from April 13 – May 14. This will be an every day 1.5 hour class.
2. Drum Lessons. Actually this was not supposed to be a summer class since we enrolled her to this class last February, but since we are absent twice already and her teacher has been absent 3x too, and so we still have nine more sessions left.
3. Swimming Class with Aqualogic which will start next week and will run for two months since I just enrolled her to their once a week class for eight sessions.

So it will be one busy and fun summer for Bela.

Swimming Lessons with Aqualogic Swim Co.

Bela will be starting with her swimming lessons with Aqualogic Swim Co. this coming April 9 at Makati Shangri-La and I am excited already.

I first learned about Aqualogic when I saw the pictures posted by Kelly of her son, Manu, during one of his class with Aqualogic and I noticed that Aqualogic’s style and method of teaching is really different with Bert Lozada Swim School. Bela has been attending swimming class with Bert Lozada at Ace Water Spa for three summers already and so far, all Bela learned from them was being confident in water. LOL. So I decided to try Aqualogic this time as I want Bela to learn a few strokes or even to swim on her own.

I just received an email from one of Aqualogic’s staff reminding me of Bela’s first day of class and they also sent out a reminder that only 1 adult per family will be allowed to accompany students in the pool and will also be asked to leave when the class is already starting. So I don’t know how I can take pictures of Bela during class and watch how she will react to Aqualogic’s style of teaching. LOL.

But, I am still excited…..

Drum Lessons: 1st Day Today

I promised my friend that I will accompany her to look for eczema treatment but I forgot that it is Bela’s first day of class for her drum lessons so I told my friend that we will do it tomorrow.

I am so excited because Bela’s drum lessons have been postponed for two weeks already. The first time it was cancelled was because Yamaha made a mistake with their schedule and they made a double booking for their 1:30 PM class. Then last week, Howell has a photo shoot and we also went to the doctor for my checkup and Bela’s checkup so I decided to just reschedule it for this Saturday.

Bela is already taking a bath and I will prepare after her and we plan to leave at around 1:15 so we will be sure that we will not be late. Bela is so excited already. She has been practicing all morning the things that her instructor taught her during her trial class.

I asked Howell to bring her camera so expect for pictures that I will post here.

Summer Activities for the Bratinela

I was looking for seo tool to help optimize search engine positioning for my blogs, but then I realized that it is already February and in just a few months it is the summer months again and it is time to look for summer activities for Bela.

We already enrolled her to the drum lessons of Yamaha School of Music. She will have her first lesson next week and she is just so excited. She was suppose to start last week but the secretary of Yamaha made a mistake and made a double booking for the 1:30 schedule and so Bela’s schedule was cancelled. Since it is Bela’s schedule for her vaccine this Saturday, I advised them that we will just start next week.

This is a 12 session lesson, so I know that it will last until summer but I want to look for other classes that we can enroll Bela in. We will definitely enroll her for MSS Magic Strokes and Reading Readiness program (though I am still thinking twice for the Reading Readiness and I have to check who the teacher will be first for that class) so this will be her activity from Monday to Friday.

As for her Saturday schedule, I am checking at Aqualogic’s Aqua Kids class and I want to enroll her here and hopefully it will not be in conflict with her drum lessons. I also am checking for the ice skating lessons of SM though their website doesn’t really provide that much information. Bela actually loves to go back to her ballet class but I inquired at CCP and it will be a 3x – 5x a week program for their summer class since they will have a recital after the summer program. And since she will have an everyday class already at MSS, I don’t think this will be a good schedule for her.

I am excited already and honestly, I really can’t decide which classes should I enroll Bela in this summer.

Trial @ Yamaha School of Music

I know I need to look for free insurance quotes as we really need to finalize the renewal of our insurance but then I can’t wait to share this picture of Bela.

HHL 001HHL 003
These pictures were taken during her trial class at Yamaha School of Music last Saturday. She received a drum set from her Tito and Tita on her last birthday. She really loves musical instruments and is really interested in learning to play it but since she already have a drum set, we decided that we let her try drum lessons.

My mom inquired at Yamaha School of Music in D. Tuazon, Quezon City last year. They normally accept students for their drum lessons aged 5 years old and up but they already had a 4-year old student before so they said that Bela can have a trial to see if she is fit for the program.

As soon as she sees the drum set, she quickly went inside the music room and said “Oh, my favorite!” She comfortably sit in front of the drums and started chanting “1-2-3” while tapping the drum sticks together and started playing with the drums.

The instructor commented that Bela has a potential as a drummer but the problem is she is still too small for their drum sets (which are for kids aged 7 years old and above) and so she can’t reach the pedal which the instructor said is an important aspect in learning how to play the drums. We told them that Bela has a drum set at home for her age and we can try brining in the chair that goes with her drum set and she can try again if she can reach the pedal of Yamaha’s drum set using her own chair.

The owner scheduled us for another trial on Friday. Hopefully, Bela’s chair will work with their drum set so she can enroll in their Drum Lessons program as she is just so eager to learn how to play the drums.

Bela and her Drum Set

On Bela’s last birthday, she received this wonderful gift from my brother, a drum set.

Bela is really into music. Maybe she got this love for music because she is a fan of the Little Einsteins show. Every time we are at the mall and she sees any musical instrument, she will be very eager to try it out. Her favorite is the guitar, violin and drums. That is why when my brother asked her what she wants to receive on her birthday, she did not even bat an eyelash and she quickly say “I want a drum set.” And my brother can’t say no to his favorite and one and only niece because he even went to Megamall on the eve of Bela’s birthday to buy the drum set so she can give it to Bela on her exact birthday.

My mom and my dad was looking for copper sinks store when they saw the Yamaha school of music in D. Tuazon, Quezon City. My mom got really excited and they inquired for the classes that they are offering since she knows that Bela will be interested to attend one of their class. As soon as they entered the school, Bela asked the receptionist on where she can find the instruments. My mom asks Bela is she likes to attend a drum lesson class and Bela excitedly said Yes.

We plan to enroll Bela this coming January. She will attend a trial class first so they can see if Bela can handle a formal lesson but the receptionist said that they have students in their drum lessons same as Bela’s age.
